Rocker
Correctly, the term rocker should mean the same as reverse camber, i.e. the opposite (negative) arching of the ski. However, in today's ski world, rocker describes the part of the ski that begins to lift away from the ground earlier. Skis with a rocker therefore have a shorter camber (chamber) and start to rise earlier. The rocker can be either only in the toe or in the toe and heel. The size of the opposite deflection can be different. Most manufacturers indicate its length and height. The rocker improves the lift of the skis in deep snow and simplifies their controllability. Rocker usually reduces the effective edge length of the skis.
