Flat tail
Skis that have rocker or early rise only in the tip sometimes have a flat tail. The camber in the heel is followed by a flat surface and only at the end of the ski is the heel slightly raised. Big mountain, hard skis often have this technology. The flat tail guarantees better stability when stopping jumps from large rocks or when riding fast in variable conditions. However, this comes at the expense of poorer handling at lower speeds.
