1. Brushes for preparing the slide before waxing
Proper care of the slide before actual waxing will affect the result of your work. The aim of preparing the skis before applying the wax is to "open the structure of the slide" for the subsequent absorption of the wax. In this case, the most useful assistant are metal brushes that are used to remove the imperfections of the slide, such as oxidation and dirt.(steel brushes are more aggressive than copper/bronze)
2. Brushes after applying wax
After applying the sliding wax and subsequently after scraping off the excess wax with a plexiglass scraper, it is important to brush and polish the slide. If we do not remove this excess wax, the slide will not be able to optimally push out the water that is created when the ski slides. The aim of brushing is to remove these wax residues first from the surface of the slide with coarser brushes and then partially from the structure of the slide with finer brushes. (at this stage of waxing, nylon brushes, horsehair brushes, or soft versions of copper/bronze brushes are most often used). For regular hobbyists, this is the end of the brushing and finishing of the slide!
3. Brushes for the final treatment of the slide
Very soft nylon brushes with fine bristles or fleece and combined brushes for finishing products (accelerators, powders, sprays) are intended for final brushing. When using finishing products, we recommend an individual consultation, where we will recommend the choice of the ideal brush.
