ZLÍN – The Zlín ski special AVEX SKI also thinks about children who have been cruel to fate. For several years, it has been helping, for example, the Zlín Lazy Children's Home. There are currently 16 children who have been left without parents living there in two family groups. AVEX SKI regularly supplies them with ski helmets, for example. "We usually supplied the children's home with older helmets discarded from our rental shop. This year, however, we donated 14 brand new ones, from the German company Marker. These are top-quality helmets that are very safe and comfortable," noted Robert Šperka from AVEX SKI.
The home tries to provide the most varied program for children without parents. But it is very difficult. "For necessities such as clothes, shoes, etc., we receive an annual contribution of 5,000 crowns per child. That is really not much. Without help, such as that provided by AVEX SKI, it would be difficult for us to go to the mountains with our children in the winter. We are very grateful to them for their contribution,” noted the home’s teacher Ludmila Chludová. AVEX SKI not only supplies them with helmets, but also services the children’s skis and skates for free.
The Zlín Lazy Children’s Home is not the only organization receiving help from AVEX SKI. It also supports the Monoski Zlín association, which allows physically disabled children and adults to play sports. They also love to ski. Monoski Zlín operates in the Troják Ski Resort. The disabled ski on one ski, which is equipped with a special structure. However, this must be mounted on a high-quality racing ski that is hard enough. And it is precisely such skis that AVEX SKI regularly supplies to the organization. “This year, we have already handed over about 10 discarded racing skis to the association, which will still serve its clients very well,” specified Robert Šperka. Thanks to the Zlín-based AVEX SKI company, and especially the Monoski Zlín association, people with limited mobility, for example after an injury, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and the like, will also be able to ski.
